Like all our animals, the chickens live outside on pasture. They follow the sheep through the fields moving every 1-3 days. They have constant access to fresh water and non-GMO grain in addition to what they forage in the pasture. Our flock of laying hens is made up of several breeds that provide a range of colours of eggs.

Their scratching and foraging also helps promote the absorption of carbon and nutrients from the sheep manure into the soil, rather than lost to the air or run-off. And of course they add their own nitrogen-rich manure to the soil as well.

Soup hens are available periodically. Join the mailing list for notification when we are taking orders.
